July Favourites

Happy August guys. Nip and a punch for the first of the month! I can't believe it's August already like where has the time gone? I can't wait for August, though as I have lots planned such as Paris in 18 days for 6 days and then Leeds festival - it's going to be a wild one (when I'm not at work, of course). Here's some of the things I've been loving the past month:

1. My winter cardigan
Yes, I know it's the middle of Summer but be realistic, I live in the UK. July called for a lot of early starts at work when it's still a bit chilly and I want to be in bed so this cosy cardigan has been my ultimate saviour for those cold travels to work.

2. Birkenstocks
I saw someone wearing these at college and I instantly fell in love. They're the cutest things ever and I thought they'd be perfect for Paris when I'm walking around all day. I got these beauties on sale for £29.99 at Footasylum.

3. Mac Spice Lip Liner
I've used so many dupes of this lip liner so I thought it was about time to buy the real thing. I love this colour because it just goes with every lip colour. I like to wear it with Mac's 'Velvet Teddy' or 'Brave'.

4. No. 7 Face Exfoliator
If, like me, you suffer from dull skin then this is your answer. This little miracle in a bottle is a scrub for your face and it brightens it instantly. Use everyday and rinse with water to leave your skin with a healthy glow.

I recently just found this website and instantly I loved the idea of it! Beauty Resource connects individuals with qualified professionals, as well as to provide them with a wealth of information on beauty treatments and information on the latest beauty products. It's so straight-forward, just type in your location and instantly you're matched with qualified beauty professionals (most of which are mobile). I can't wait to try this site out and get my nails done! Head over to http://www.beautyresource.org.uk to get started.

My Summer Goals

It's finally the weekend! Not that I'm doing anything except working but still, it feels nice that it's here. So, this week I've been brainstorming of what I want to do and achieve this Summer so I actually feel like I accomplished something rather than sitting on my arse for 9 weeks. I've seen a few people make these posts so I thought I'd make one and share some of my goals with you all!

1. Eat better
About 2 months ago, I transitioned to a vegetarian lifestyle but I still find myself pigging out on copious amounts of chips, pasta etc. My main goal is to eat healthier with a lot more fruit and veg rather than living on carbs.

2. Spend more time with friends
During Summer, friends can sometimes be pushed away due to other commitments such as work, which is what happens to me. So this year I want to spend as much time as possible with my friends as this could be my last summer with them!

3. Spend more time with family
On that note, I've also been neglecting my family a lot, especially my baby sister so I'd love to spend more time with them and do nice things.

4. Work a lot harder on my blog/youtube
Another thing that gets neglected is my blog and my YouTube. I don't even know why just sometimes I have no motivation or I'm just too lazy but I definitely need to step up my game if I want to make a career out of this some day.

5. Make the most out of my holiday
In a few weeks, I'm heading off to Paris which is my most favourite place in the world. It's so beautiful and romantic. I'm there for 6 days so plenty time to see everything but I just want to have the most amazing time, explore Paris and eat a tonne of croissants.

So there's my main goals for this Summer, nothing too exciting or unachievable so I hope to be able to carry these out over the next few weeks.

What are your summer goals?

So, I'm in dire need of some new stuff at the minute. This is my current makeup wish list full of things I'm dying to buy! Shades Of Grey

Hi guys, sorry I've been so inactive recently. Things have been a bit difficult the past few weeks due to exams, work etc so I haven't had the time, nor have I been in the mood to blog. I feel like all I do is apologise for inactivity when I write, oops. Hopefully that'll be no more though. Exams are almost over and it's nearly summer so hopefully I can fully dedicate myself to my blog.

Apology over (and hopefully accepted), I thought I'd post an outfit post because I never seem to do them. I definitely prefer being behind the camera but I do like a good outfit post and they always seem to be so popular. This look is quite a casual one but smartened up with a longline blazer - perfect for a shopping trip although I actually wore this to a friends house. I was a bit hesitant about wearing and layering double grey but once it was on I felt it looked quite nice. This is definitely one of my favourite go-to outfits at the minute but soon it'll be too hot to wear a turtleneck which makes me quite sad.

The Festival Fashion Edit

Festival season is coming up and although the closest you'll get to Coachella is Leeds or T in the Park, it's time to add some boho to your festival wardrobe because who says you can't dress it up in England? Fringing, crochet and bralets are just some of this years festival trends but don't worry, you can get all of these for an affordable price. If, like me, you dream of wearing ChloƩ pieces but can't afford them, there are some fab alternatives out there from high street retailers. Here's some of the Coachella inspired outfits I put together which would look amaze at a festival.

There's just a few festival trends I'm loving - what are your staple pieces?
