Versace Pre-Fall 2015

Versace's Pre Fall Collection can only be described as bold, clean and sharp; a mix which is completely contrasted from the usual Versace themes. Donatella Versace designed the pieces with the ideas of masculinity in mind. She wanted it to be "simple and complex, with neat silhouettes that are full of Versace detail." The results were a bunch of beautiful pieces from everyday wear of tailored trousers and jackets complete with neat detailing, boxy knitwear with a multitude of bold, precise lines, an eclectic range of necklines and a variety of clear-cut patterns, to classy evening wear which encapsulated strength and confidence through fitted jumpsuits, regal A-line skirts and dresses sporting slits, showing a peep of the upper thigh. Throughout the collection, patterns were a recurring theme whether this was the contrasting, block prints in shades of cobalt blue and magenta, jacquard patchwork or enlarged houndstooth. Another recurring idea was contrast; pairing blues with black, white with red and so forth. A key word to every piece is bold. Everything stands out in some way, whether it's the loud hues or the exquisite patterns. I love this collection, it's really like nothing we've seen before from Versace. It's designed with utter brilliance and class, created to make a statement.
