Winter Wardrobe Essentials

Bonjour readers! I hope you've all had a lovely week. The recent, awful weather has inspired me to put together a post containing some winter wardrobe essentials. As you probably all know from previous posts, I love winter fashion. It's amazing because you can experiment a lot during winter and mix different textures, patterns and colours to create a stand-out look whereas I find that, in Summer, fashion choices are very limited. Winter doesn't mean you have to splurge out on lots of expensive pieces just to create that cosy, chic look. Basics can do just the job and save you half the money.
Some basic trends I'm loving right now especially are:
Grey's - although a simplistic colour, it can be made exciting by adding textures such as wool and knit to create that snug look.
Faux leather/leather look jeans - another exciting texture to add to a plain colour. I own a pair of coated Joni jeans from Topshop and they add that extra edge to my look; very Victoria Baker-Harber!
Knitted hats - some may see this as the most outrageous fashion faux pas in the world, but I really do love a good, knitted hat with a pom pom on the top. They're super cute and keep your ears warm on a cold day.
Chelsea Boots - can you really go wrong with a pair of Chelsea boots, though? They're simple, trendy and go with just about anything and everything! Every wardrobe or shoe rack should hold at least one pair of these perfect go-to boots.

Have a fab weekend!

Love,
Jordan x
